The book is better in other words. I absolutely adore it, love it so much. I’d say it’s a work of art about a work of art.

What starts out as a coming of age story centered around a young girl finding herself and falling in love, turns into a realistic and at times heartbreaking story of love and hardship.

The paper is thick and heavy and bright white, and turning each page is a sensual experience, just like the story itself. At the start of juliw book she’s just 15, struggling with homework and playground cliques, fighting with her parents, slouching around dreary Lille in her hoodie.

It just makes me think of s stories like The Children’s Hour — this, from the passionate French! Naroh the novel has weakness as well. This book isn’t just about two girls falling in love with each other. It was more than that. I’m not impressed or touched by it.
Interestingly, the movie version, which I also loved, solves all of these problems. Hoy hemos perdido la inocencia. A usual book lovers mantra, I suppose, true in this case. bley
